A satellite Trades Centre in Moosonee, linked to the Centre of Excellence for Trades and Technology at the Timmins Campus, provides high-skills training in technology, trades and apprenticeship programs to James Bay coastal communities. The town of Moosonee is a vibrant, tightly-knit community located 19 kilometres south of James Bay on the Moose River. While its population of just over 1,725 may seem small, the town’s size is actually one of its biggest advantages.
Timmins CampusStart your trade or technology career in one of northern Ontario’s newest training facilities. The Centre of Excellence for Trades and Technology at the Timmins Campus opened September 2010 and offers cutting-edge programming in trades and engineering technology. Timmins is the ultimate fusion of the urban and the rural. On the one hand, it’s big enough to provide all of the amenities and services expected of a larger city, while on the other, it’s small enough to ensure that you’re never far from the outstanding landscape northern Ontario is known for.
