Library Resource Centres
The Northern College Library Resource Centres are a focal point for information, study
and research. They contribute to every aspect of academic and intellectual life at the college
by providing a broad range of services to students, faculty, administration, staff and the community.
The Libraries provide users with access to an extensive collection of resources including books, periodicals, electronic databases and audio visual materials.The Libraries are equipped with
computers that allow users to research as well as prepare papers and presentations.
Access and Facilities
Students both on-and-off site, staff and community members are all welcome.
Borrowing privileges are honoured at all campuses.
Resources Sharing - Direct Borrowing
Co-op, distance or web based learning students and staff may borrow materials
from any participating College library with their Northern College Student card:Direct

Electronic Databases*
The Library Resource Centres subscribe to a number of electronic resources that allow staff
and students to search for articles and videos. You can access these from such vendors as Films
on Demand, Ebsco, Proquest, Ovid, Encyclopedia Britannica and many more. The resources can
be accessed by logging on to Blackboard from Citrix and clicking on the Library Resources link. *To access Electronic Databases, please log on to Blackboard through Citrix.
