March 4, 2010 - $50,000 DONATION FROM GOLDCORP CANADA LTD

“A natural affinity exists between Goldcorp and the Northern College Centre for Trades and Technology and its ability to help develop the future skilled trades workforce that Goldcorp will require. I would like to express our appreciation for Goldcorp’s investment in Northern College, our students and trades training in the area,” said Northern College President Fred Gibbons.

Now under construction and scheduled to open September 2010 at the College’s Porcupine Campus, the Centre of Excellence for Trades and Technology will encompass:

• approx. 33,000 sq/ft of new and renovated space
• classrooms and labs with Smart technology
• industrial science labs
• trades shops
• applied research and technology Smart labs
