Continuing Education

Continuing education may include credit and non-credit courses outside traditional post-secondary offerings. Northern responds to community needs to develop courses of personal or professional interest. Adults 19 years or older can take continuing education (some exceptions may apply). Courses are usually offered on a part-time basis, evenings or weekends. Some short courses, seminars, and workshops are offered during the week.

NORTHERN TRAINING DIVISION – CANCELLATION INFORMATION

Northern College Timmins Campus will refund a registration fee for cancellations received, in writing or by phone, 6 business days prior to the course start date. There will be no refund for cancellations received within 6 business days or less before the course start date.

If a registered participant does not cancel and fails to attend the course, it will be treated as a late cancellation and no refund will be issued. This procedure also applies to business and industry clients for employee confirmations whereby an invoice would be applicable rather than a refund. If a participant is substituted for another, full payment will be applied to the replacement’s registration.

Should a course not have sufficient registrations, Northern College reserves the right to cancel and/or postpone the course. Students will be notified and have the option of a full refund or tansferring into the next available course.
