Vaccination Policy
Northern College is mandating Canadian-approved vaccines for all those who are working, studying, or visiting any of their campuses or work sites/places/offices. This applies to all employees, students, clients, contractors, and visitors, as well as members of the general public who would like to access services from the College. This policy requires that everyone have at least one dose of a Health Canada or WHO approved vaccine by October 1, 2021 with both doses required to have been administered by November 15, 2021 before visiting campus.

To access the Covid registry, please click on the orange Employee Login button at the top of this page.

This is being done to protect everyone from Covid-19 and its variants. We have a responsibility to protect the individuals who access our facilities to provide a safe and healthy environment which requires vaccination. There is a formal process to follow for those who are not getting vaccinated for those reasons. Those who are exempted may be required to undergo other procedures.

Information for Faculty
We understand that you likely have many questions about what library resources will be available to help support teaching and learning needs. Effective March 20th, 2020, the following changes affecting staff/faculty have been implemented:

• Northern College’s libraries are closed until further notice, and face-to-face service has been replaced with virtual help (Ask-The-Library), by text (705-302-1076 for college-wide), or email to your campus library technician.

• Library staff are still working to support faculty in finding the right resources to support online learning.

• Students and faculty will have the ability to request digital scans of reserve or book chapters, and possibly even the option of borrowing physical material (books & laptops), by request only, and by following some guidelines to respect social distancing. Ontario colleges libraries are applying a section of the Copyright Act to allow the digital reproduction of some resources during these extraordinary circumstances.

• If you were currently using a media format that will not work with online learning, please contact Shannon Arsenault by email ( to discuss an alternative format. Writing help for students will still be available by request, and will be delivered through a combination of email and Blackboard Collaborate.
