Who We Are

We deliver Employment Ontario’s Employment Services within the Ontario College system. As part of this network, our goal is your goal – to help job seekers find sustainable employment, and employers find suitable employees. Our ‘start-to-finish’ Employment Services work in partnership with job seekers and employers to identify needs, lay out a clear service plan, ensure access to the services and information required (including external services), and provides direct employment services such as job search assistance, job matching and placement, and job retention support and follow-up. Our success is measured by your success and satisfaction.

Youth Job Connection

This is a new employment Ontario initiative for unemployed youth aged 15-19.

Who is Eligible?

  • Youth and young adults (15-29)
  • Unemployed and underemployed
  • Not in full time education or training
  • Resident of Ontario
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Some exceptions apply

You Will Receive

  • Paid pre-employment training to promote job readiness (60-90 hours)
  • Job search skills
  • Life skills
  • Career exploration and development
  • Mentoring services
  • Transition supports to employment or education

Resources and Information

Anyone who is looking for work or a career change has access to:

  • Job boards, internet access, faxing and photocopying
  • Resume, cover letter and interview preparation sessions
  • Labour market, apprenticeship, education and training information
  • Workplace safety information
  • Referrals to other community education and training services

Persons who are out of school and unemployed may have access to one-on-one assisted services:

  • Employment counseling and job search planning
  • Career and employ ability assessment tools
  • Second Career and Job Creation Partnership applications
  • Job matching
  • On-the-job training
  • Monitoring and follow-up of job search and on the job training
