The Timmins Police Service donated a cruiser to Northern College yesterday, for use in the college’s Police Foundations program. This donated cruiser will enhance the quality of the education provided to students by allowing them to apply their newly acquired knowledge and training in practical hands-on exercises.

Timmins Police Deputy Chief Des Walsh and Constable Tom Buczkowski were on site at the Timmins Campus to hand over the keys to the cruiser and formally complete the in-kind donation. They were joined by Sarah Campbell, Associate Dean of Health Sciences and Emergency Services, Mack Pettigrew, Police Foundations Program Coordinator, and students of the Police Foundations program at Northern College Timmins Campus.

This donation is part of how the Timmins Police is making an investment in the future of law enforcement in our area. The Timmins Police places a high value on contributing to the education of prospective future applicants.
