Foundation and the Alumni

How We are Different
An eye to the extraordinary is driving forward the vision of the Northern College Alumni Council a vision where the college experience extends beyond graduation and lasts for many years. The world is full of successful, determined, and community focused individuals who have one thing in common: they have graduated from Northern College. Social inclusion, education, research, and community development are the pillars of the Northern College alumni movement and will serve as a foundation for growth, innovation and opportunity. Today efforts are underway to build and grow a strong, cohesive association that will flourish as it engages the passion of Northern College graduates and the community.

Register as an Alumni
Our team is currently gathering information and profiles on our alumni, including where people are now, where they are employed and how their families have grown. This information gathering will be ongoing in the coming months and is being carried out so that we may share our exciting plans with our graduates. To register click on Register Online in the left hand navigation menu or call 705-235-7210.

Alumni Events
Community planning meetings were held as an open forum for discussion with our Alumni. These meetings took place in Kirkland Lake, Porcupine and Temiskaming Shores to provide all Northern graduates an opportunity to join us. Topics for discussion were the creation of a council, discussion on our mission and vision and the creation of some next steps for advancement.

Future Initiatives- Community development projects, mentorship programs, speaking engagements and networking functions are driving forward the strategic planning of the council. All of these events will be designed to be something that exceeds “the average,” approach leaving our membership feeling rejuvenated and fulfilled.

Benefits and Services
A complete package of programs and services is being considered with direction being taken from our membership following the planning sessions. Programs being considered are a student-alumni mentorship program, a comprehensive insurance program for Northern graduates, and opportunities for networking through Alumni channels.

Where are they now?
This area will be populated with profiles, stories, and interesting facts about Northern College graduates and will grow with the evolution of the Association.
