KIRKLAND LAKE, ON: Northern College is pleased to announce its new Kirkland Lake Campus Manager.
Drew Enouy is a lifelong resident of Kirkland Lake, a University of Guelph graduate with experience in the mining industry and with the Town of Kirkland Lake. Enouy brings new perspectives to his position with the college coupled with an intimate and dedicated understanding the community he is proud to call home.
“I believe Northern College is an important part of Kirkland Lake as a whole,” stated Enouy. “The college and the community have a long history together and I am excited to be a part of continuing past successes and looking towards the next step in keeping Northern College a prominent part of Kirkland Lake.”
Northern College is proud to support its catchment communities through employment opportunities like these, opportunities that capitalize on the wealth of knowledge and dedication that stems from investing in those with a keen interest in promoting their home communities.
“We look for an excellent communicator with public sector management experience and who has experience with successful delivery of services to the public,” stated Cam McEachern, Executive Director of Student Services, Institutional Research and Registrar with Northern College. “Familiarity with the regional economy and employment skills market is an asset.”
“Kirkland Lake and other communities in the North have something different to offer than other college communities in Ontario,” stated Enouy. “We provide a very immersive small town Canadian feel that others simply cannot. I am looking forward to working with students from near and far to make sure that they get the full northern experience.”
Enouy will replace longstanding Campus Manager Allan French, who will be retiring after seven years in the position.
“The Kirkland Lake Campus is a true “Community” College,” stated French. “Not only are the facilities utilized by numerous service groups, but our community is very passionate about the success and preservation of the Campus.”
Northern College extends a warm welcome to Drew Enouy as he joins us March 25th and a sincere thank you and farewell to Allan French as he retires later this month.
