MTO Approved Motorcycle Training Program

M1 Exit – MTO Approved Motorcycle Training Program
Learn to ride with confidence. The M1 Exit course includes both classroom and practical training. Individuals successfully completing all instructional hours and the on-site practical test,  motorcycles are provided, will be eligible to receive an M2 licence. Participants must be 16 years of age and have their M1 (beginners) licence prior to attending the course.

Students must bring:

  • a CSA or DOT approved helmet (full face recommended)
  • a long sleeved jacket (eg. Leather, jean or work jacket)
  • long pants (preferably leather or jean)
  • low-heeled tough boots that cover the ankle (eg. Hiking boots)
  • tough leather gloves that completely cover the finger tips to wrist (no skin exposure)

M1 Exit – Timmins Campus
Friday evening 6:30 pm—9:30 pm (in-class)
Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am—5:00 pm (practical)
Cost: $520.00 includes hst and $20.00 MTO registration fee

M1 Exit – Kirkland Lake Campus

There are currently no training dates scheduled.


M2 Exit – Timmins Campus
This course includes both classroom and practical training. Participants must provide a motorcycle for the course. Individuals successfully completing all instructional hours and the 20 kilometer test in traffic will be eligible to receive an M licence. Participants are required to be in possession of their M2 licence for at least 18 months, if the M1 Exit course was completed with Northern College. If the M2 licence was obtained at the Ministry of Transportation, participants must be in possession of the M2 licence for at least 22 months.

Students must bring:

  • a street-legal insured motorcycle
  • a CSA or DOT approved helmet (full face recommended)
  • a long sleeved jacket (eg. leather, jean or work jacket)
  • long pants (preferably leather or jean)
  • low-heeled tough boots that cover the ankle (eg. hiking boots)
  • tough leather gloves that completely cover the finger tips to wrist (no skin exposure)
