NCSA TIMMINS CAMPUS - PROUD MEMBER OF CSA
The College Student Alliance (CSA) is a member-driven association, representing student-governing bodies at community colleges across Ontario.
NCSA PURPOSE (MISSION STATEMENT & MANDATE)
The purpose of this organization is to advocate for Northern College Timmins Campus student body priorities, be they academic, ethical, social, cultural, health, or student rights related, such that we represent the collective voice of the Northern College Timmins Campus student body.
The NCSA is dedicated to empowering student success in all aspects of student life, during their period of study and into future endeavours.
This organization will achieve student body priority advocacy through an initiative of education and guidance, facilitated by student activities and events that promote the welfare and wellbeing of the student body consistent with the purposes of Northern College.
CORE VALUES
This organization believes in the rights of student to have a positive educational experience and will embody the following core values to achieve that experience:
Accountability – the NCSA and its directors are accountable to the student body.
Responsiveness – the NCSA and its directors are committed to responding to the needs of our students.
Relevancy – the NCSA and its directors are committed to endeavors that are needed and purposeful.
Innovation – the NCSA and its directors are committed to providing contemporary events and current information to the student body.
Collaboration – the NCSA and its directors shall work with the NCSA Advisors, other councils, the College Student Alliance and Northern College staff and student body for the best possible outcomes of any endeavours.
Balance – the NCSA and its directors represents the student body as a whole and each director shall participate equally to achieve balanced representation.
Respect – the NCSA and its directors shall behave in a manner respectful of fellow directors, the student body, college staff and faculty, and the Timmins community.
