Northern College Haileybury Campus Open House a Success

HAILEYBURY, ON: Over 210 people attended Northern College Haileybury Campus’s annual Open House, which was held on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Potential students and their families from across Ontario came to the campus to tour its facilities, including the Veterinary Sciences Centre, the newly renovated Health Sciences department, and the Haileybury School of Mines Hall of Fame.

Northern College President Fred Gibbons and Temiskaming Shores Mayor Carman Kidd attended the event. Several community organizations including Employment Options Emploi and the City of Temiskaming Shores had representatives at the Open House, providing attendees with information about various services available in and around Haileybury.

“The Haileybury Campus is home to amazing learning facilities filled with a wide array of equipment actually used in the workforce,” said Fred Gibbons, President of Northern College. “We’re very proud of what we have built here, and I have no doubt that those who attended the Open House left impressed and eager to return.”

Northern College Haileybury Campus’s annual Open House is organized by college staff, faculty and student volunteers in order to promote the opportunities available at the campus. The college thanks all involved with the Open House for helping make it a huge success.
