Contact North

Distance Education programs and courses are offered in conjunction with Contact North/Contact Nord, Northern Ontario's Distance Education & Training Network. Through an innovative, flexible education and training delivery system, college learners, instructors and trainers can interact in real-time, virtual classrooms despite the barriers of distance, sparse population and climatic extremes.

With 90 Distance Education & Training Access and participating Centres in over 90 communities across Northern Ontario, you may be able to complete part or all of your education without leaving your family, community, or current employment. The network of audioconferencing, audiographics, and videoconferencing facilities allows for classes to be carried out in much the same way as if all the students were in the same room. You have reading materials, assignments, and tests and quizzes much as you do in a traditional classroom.

Visit your Contact North/Contact Nord Access Centre or check out the network's Web site at www.contactnorth.ca
