In this program, students will learn to diagnose, install and maintain plant machinery in a systematic manner with a high degree of efficiency. This program provides students with the training equivalent to the basic level in-school component of a millwright apprenticeship. In addition, they will increase their communication skills and gain hands-on millwright training. Students successfully completing the Industrial Mechanical Millwright Techniques program may continue into semester three of the Industrial Mechanical Millwright Technician program at Cambrian College or may enter as an apprentice in industry. Employment Opportunities Graduates may work in industry as a trainee or as an apprentice in an industrial setting. Upon completion of their training, they may work as a journeyperson, millwright, foreman or supervisor. Admission Requirements Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) Or equivalent. Or mature student status (an applicant who does not have a high school diploma or equivalent, and will have reached the age of 19 years on or before the start of the program).
