This two-semester program will help students to prepare for a college trade or technology program, increase their skills and confidence in math, science, computers, and technical studies, and explore career options in trades and technology. This program is designed to assist students who either lack the standard college prerequisites or who need to improve mathematical, technical, science or computer skills before entering a technical or trades program. This program includes a range of courses designed to help students explore career options in trades and technology, and to provide students with the skills necessary to enter a one-year trades program or a two-year or three-year technician/technology program. Employment Opportunities While students may find employment in any occupation requiring general education, or with firms which provide their own training, the majority of graduates are likely to continue their studies in other college programs. Admission Requirements Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) Or equivalent. Or mature student status (an applicant who does not have a high school diploma or equivalent, and will have reached the age of 19 years on or before the start of the program).
