SP-100 Forest Firefighting Training

Are you exploring a career as a seasonal forest firefighter (Fire Ranger) or a forest firefighter position in the private industry? In order to obtain a forest firefighter position, you must complete training from an Ontario of Natural Resources (MNR) accredited SP-100 Forest Firefighting Training Program.

Program Information

Dates: TBA
Time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily
Location: Northern College Timmins Campus
Duration: 40 hours (five days/8 hours per day)
Format: Classroom (40%) and field exercises (60%)
Tuition: $1,289.35 (cost includes hst and WHMIS certification)
Eligibility: Persons 18 years of age and over in good physical condition
