Join local Chef Diane Rochefort from D!Chef for a 4 week youth cooking class, Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

You’ll learn how to make a roux, how to chop, dice and slice your way into a delicious and nutritious lunch!

Please see below your shopping list for each week.

Week 1- Veg Mac and Cheese
2 cup cauliflower
2 cup macaroni
1 cube chicken bouillon
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup milk
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp salt

Week 2 – Quesadilla and salsa
2 tortilla shells
1 carrot shredded
1 cup shredded cheese
1 cup chicken cooked
1 cup black beans – optional or instead
of chicken
1 medium tomato
½ onion
1 celery stalk
1 lime
1 jalapeno – optional
½ cup cilantro
Olive oil
Salt and Pepper

Week 3 – Pizza soup
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 pepperettes
1 celery stalk
1 carrot
1 onion
1 slice of bread
¼ cup shredded mozzarella

Week 4 – Burritos
2 large tortillas
1 cup cooked rice
½ cup black beans
½ cup Pico de Gallo/salsa
½ cup cooked chicken or ground beef
½ cup carrots shredded
½ cup lettuce shredded
