Reporting to the Executive Director, East End Family Health Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medication, and ordering other treatments for patients who may be suffering from both episodic illness and chronic disease.

DUTIES:

Reporting to the Campus Manager, Moosonee, this position assists in the implementation, delivery, evaluation, and follow-ups of employment services programs. These programs include the full suite of Employment Services sponsored by Employment Ontario. Additional programs may be included. The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • successful operation of the Resource and Information Centre (RI) activities;
  • services and programs as it relates to employment, literacy and adult learning, apprenticeship, and other related community services;
  • input of client data into the Client Activity Tracking System (CATS) for RI activity; and
  • workshop delivery, both online and face to face, and job fairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 Year Office Administration certificate or equivalent;
  • Minimum two years’ similar work experience;
  • Ability to use social media in a professional capacity to promote programs and services;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to travel by air, boat, or vehicle;
  • Ability to speak Mushkegowuk Cree is an asset; and
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License is an asset.

DUTIES:

Northern College is seeking qualified professionals to teach a variety of courses in various trades programs including, but not limited to Millwright, Welding, Plumbing, Heavy Duty Equipment, Automotive, Construction, Carpentry, and Electrical as well as other customized community based training programs. The successful incumbents will:

  • Create a positive teaching and learning environment, using a variety of strategies and materials in the multi-modal delivery of courses;
  • Commit to student success, professional development and demonstrate capacity for leadership in a multi-cultural organization; and
  • Ensure currency and relevance of the teaching material and assessment techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent will possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant training, and/or certifications;
  • 10 years of relevant experience;
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered; and
  • Teaching experience would be considered an asset.
