Digital Convocation

We are so proud of all our graduates and hope all who attended the Digital Convocation ceremony via Zoom on Friday, June 11 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. feels a sense of accomplishment & pride.

Although it is not the same as crossing the stage in-person, we hope this virtual event was as engaging and celebratory as possible for all our graduates.

If you missed the live events, the recordings from Zoom and compilation videos from submissions from graduates and staff & faculty can be viewed in the YouTube playlist below.

Class of 2021

You now live in a changed world, but don’t let that define your journey. Pursue every ambition, go as far as you can possibly imagine and be the generation to embrace the new responsibility to help re-build and re-shape communities around the world.

We wish you could have had the in-person ceremony you’ve earned, but nothing — not even COVID-19 — can take away what you’ve achieved. Know that all of Northern College’s graduates who came before you are proud of you and celebrating with you! You are off to do amazing things and make an impact on this world. We look forward to sharing in your success story today, and all of your future successes as you embark on what will undoubtedly be a successful career.

Even though we can’t celebrate together again this year, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate!

This is a huge moment in your life, celebrate with your family, your friends and anyone else you can reasonably fit into the Government’s mandated multi-person bubble and for the rest. Catch up with them on Zoom or Teams, or even Skype and toast to the close of this chapter in your life. This day marks the beginning of the rest of your life, a bit cliché we know, but celebrations are all about clichés.

This is your graduation, the moment where all of your hard work comes together in one glorious moment of achievement, validation and celebration! Just because this global pandemic is keeping you at home, doesn’t mean you can’t put on your Sunday best! In all reality, keep the sweatpants, think of this like you would a mullet, business up top, stay-at-home order sweatpants down low.

We had also invited all our graduates to submit videos of themselves celebrating their achievements to be showcased during this year’s live event via Zoom, which took place on Friday, June 11.
