Program Delivery Method - Academic Year 2020/2021

Welcome (and welcome back) to college!

As indicated in February, and in keeping with the current provincial lockdown and COVID-19 safety measures in place, Northern College will continue teaching and delivering post-secondary related services during the Summer 2021 semester through a combination of fully remote and hybrid (remote/in-person/on-site) offerings, including select on-campus academic activities. For most post-secondary programs, the start of the Summer 2021 semester will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Appointments to see faculty, staff or service areas will continue to be booked through email before approaching campus. As always, keep in mind that some decisions may change as a result of Public Health and government guidance and direction.

FALL 2021
Northern College expects a return to our more traditional forms of program and course delivery for the Fall 2021 semester. It is anticipated that some courses will continue to be offered online, or through a hybrid form of delivery (combination of online and in-class activities), however on-campus delivery, learning activities, and services are expected for the majority of our programs. The College continues to monitor pandemic conditions and we will respond accordingly following guidance from all appropriate government and health authorities. Any required changes to our anticipated Fall 2021 programming will be communicated immediately once known.

Northern College will continue to modify program delivery so long as the pandemic situation continues while following guidelines set forth by the provincial government and local Public Health Units. Please study from home as much as possible. If you need to be on campus, restrictions and protocols are in place to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks are required, sign-in and sign-out processes are in place, and other hygiene protocols, including handwashing and not touching one’s face, apply.
All classes will be conducted virtually through Blackboard, unless otherwise specified.   Contact your Program Coordinator for further details if you have not already received   email communication about your online courses.
Online with some in-class components.
All classes will be conducted on-campus with health and safety measures enforced
