Effectively Managing Social Media in the Workplace

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn:
a) an overview of types of social media in the workplace
b) the reasons why the utilization of social media in the workplace has increased
c) how to take stance in managing the utilization of social media in the workplace
d) importance and value of implementing social media policies and procedures in the workplace
e) how to work with staff in respecting utilization of social media in the workplace
f) tips on managing social media in the workplace

Course Benefits: Participants will:
a) gain a greater appreciation of the impact of social media in the workplace
b) increase confidence and competence in managing social media in the workplace
c) appreciate the pros and cons of social media in the workplace
d) understand that professionalism and the use of social media are intertwined

Course Features: The length of this course is 1/2 day. Theory, practice, as well as group discussion and activities ensure that learning objectives are met.

Target Audience: Front line supervisors/managers would benefit from this course.
For this course, the minimum number of participants is 10 and the maximum is 25.
