Please note that program start dates are subject to change. Limited funded seats may be available for those who meet the project and program eligibility criteria. Additionally, applicants will be subjected to various selection processes and final candidates will be selected based on partner approval.

This pre-education and pre-employment program is designed to prepare students for workplace and education expectations increasing student success, employment, and workforce retention rates. The program is a prerequisite to any student entering any other training program as a new job seeker.
Computers, Communications, and Calculations Training

The Computers, Communications and Calculations program provides each trainee with a laptop to complete Computer Applications including an introduction to the various Microsoft programs. Students will also enhance their written, and verbal communication skills as they explore various resources used to communicate in the mining sector.
Youth Job Connection
Location: Timmins, Kirkland Lake, and Temiskaming Shores

This Health Care Support Service worker program includes provincially mandated training combined with pandemic safety training, person centered care, documentation and reporting.

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program is a two semester program developed as part of the Ontario provincial government’s plan to reform long term care.

The Mining Essentials Program, developed and certified by the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR), has been designed to increase the involvement and engagement of Indigenous peoples in the mining and exploration sector by providing work ready and essential skills training needed to gain meaningful employment.

This modular program has a 95% employment success rate within 3 months of graduation. The program covers the knowledge and skills required to work competently as an Underground Hard Rock Miner.

The Environmental and Field Monitor Program is designed to help participants understand the mining industry legislative requirements; best practices and standards with respect to environmental monitoring; wildlife management, data entry, reporting and the Health and Safety requirements while working with the environment.

Mobile Trades Training is designed to provide students with exposure to skilled trades. With intent of offering Welding, Carpentry/Construction and a Multi-Trade projects, these programs are customizable to meet community needs.
Environmental Monitor – 5 Day Course

Learn from professionals in a classroom and field setting. Topics include permits and inspections, spills preparedness, response, and reporting, waste management, air, soil, and groundwater monitoring and more. You will receive a training manual to help apply your skills and knowledge.

Healthcare Food Service Worker
