Mobile Trades Training Programs - Carpentry/Construction, Welding and Multi-Trade (Construction, Plumbing and Electrical)
About this Training Program
Mobile Trades Training is designed to provide students with exposure to skilled trades. With intent of offering Welding, Carpentry/Construction and a Multi-Trade projects, these programs are customizable to meet community needs. Northern College holds TDA for Welding and Carpentry, therefore if desired, the level 1 curriculum could be incorporated into the training for these trades. Practical is anticipated to be community based, working on a housing project, conducting renovations within the community or, welding for a piece of community equipment.
Duration: Customized and may be up to 22 weeks

Delivery and Important Information
Delivery is face-to-face with hands-on learning and practice intended to take place within the community.
Pathways to Success and Career Opportunities
Graduates will gain exposure to trades, Health and Safety Certifications, and, where available and as applicable, accreditation for the level 1 training upon becoming registered as apprentices. Students would be able to start working as helpers or registered apprentices in the trades upon program completion.
